Keeping Fairbanks Fueled
The Work That Doesn’t Change with the Seasons
Big plans come and go. Drink more water. Tame the inbox. Finally remember which password goes with which account.
At APD, our focus is a little more practical and a lot more Fairbanks-approved. It’s about delivering fuel safely and doing right by our neighbors. It’s work we’ve been doing since 1981.
Here are a few things we stay focused on all year long.
Keep Safety Front and Center
In Alaska, safety isn’t optional, and at APD, it’s definitely not a “we’ll figure it out as we go” situation. It’s baked into our SAVE program (Safety: Alaska’s Values Everyday), which guides every one of our deliveries. From weekly, driver-led safety meetings and pre-trip weather checks to specialized training for routes like the Dalton Highway, SAVE helps our teams handle real Fairbanks conditions with confidence.
Because at the end of the day, the goal is simple: everyone gets home safe (and preferably, on time for dinner).
Show Up for Fairbanks
Fairbanks isn’t just where we work. It’s where we live and brave the winters right alongside you. After more than 40 years in Alaska, that local perspective still guides how we do business.
Our drivers and office teams live here, know the roads and routes, and take pride in delivering high-quality fuel to their own community. When you call APD, you’re talking to a real local who just might also recognize you at the grocery store or wave from the other side of an intersection.
Protect What Powers Fairbanks
Protecting our community means running clean, careful operations and resisting the urge to say, “Eh, close enough.” At APD, that looks like following EPA, ADEC, OSHA, and DOT standards, maintaining safeguards to prevent spills, and jumping into action fast when something needs attention.
Translation? We take your safety seriously, your property personally, and your trust very seriously, even when the weather is doing its absolute most.
For the Long Haul
These commitments aren’t new, and they’re not going anywhere. They’ve guided APD since 1981, and they’ll keep guiding us through every long winter still ahead.
Because in Fairbanks, keeping the heat on is serious business (even if we like to have a little fun along the way).
If you need us, you know where to find us. Our team is always ready to help.
